Ball fields at a county park

78 youth leagues, and where they play.

Baseball, softball, soccer, football, lacrosse, basketball, swimming and volleyball in St. Johns County and Jacksonville: every league I could confirm on its own site, the fields it uses, and how far those fields are from where you live.

Every field and league venue, on one map

I’m Krista Fracke, and this is the map of where youth sports actually happen here. Amber dots are where a league plays (20 leagues use St. Johns venues, 41 use Duval venues); blue dots are the other 143 public parks with fields, courts or pools, from St. Johns County Parks & Recreation and JaxParks.

The part nobody tells you: the county owns the field, not the league

Most youth sports here are run by volunteer associations that use county and city parks. The parks department owns the field; the association sets the season, the fee and the age groups, and those change every year. That’s why every league on this page links to its own site and is re-checked monthly instead of carrying last year’s dates.

The fields are also still being added. St. Johns County has the SilverLeaf Sportsplex and Shearwater Community Park under construction, announced for early 2027.

This is the work I do every week. Tell me the sport and the practice nights. I'll show you which neighborhoods put the field a few minutes away, and the homes there.

Common questions

Who runs youth sports in St. Johns County?

Mostly volunteer athletic associations. St. Johns County Parks & Recreation runs its own youth basketball league and provides the fields, and partner associations such as the Ponte Vedra Athletic Association, the Creeks Athletic Association and the Bartram Trail associations run baseball, softball, football, lacrosse and soccer at county parks. The county publishes the list of partner organizations on its youth programs page.

Who runs youth sports in Jacksonville?

The City of Jacksonville provides the parks and runs a youth basketball league, and independent athletic associations run most baseball, softball and football, many under Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Little League or Pop Warner charters. Soccer is mostly club-run. The Beaches cities (Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach) list their own partner leagues.

Are new sports parks being built?

Yes. St. Johns County has the SilverLeaf Sportsplex and Shearwater Community Park under construction, with completion announced for early 2027. Both are on the map in gray.

How current are the seasons and fees?

Each league was checked on its own site on October 17, 2026. Associations reset dates and fees every season, so the sign-up link is the final word; every league here is re-checked on a monthly cycle.

Closer to the fields?

Tell me the league. I’ll send the homes that cut the drive to practice.
