Great Atlantic Seafood Country Music Fest – June 17th – Sea Walk Pavillion
For $20 and for all ages, this festival will have your mouth watering as you enjoy live music and so much more. Their theme is beach, boots, bikinis and brews and this leaves you little to imagine about the fun that will be had. Along with the music and food, there will be displays, demos and activities for the entire family. If you choose to go the VIP method, you’ll get an enhanced experience with front of stage seating on armchairs, beverage servers, plus private port-a-lets and food service.
The Oyster Jam Music Festival – May 20th and 21st – Metropolitan Park
Join them for a huge down-home style oyster roast, plus a number of musical acts that will have you dancing along the river. With 12 performing bands, the Oyster Jam Music Festival is in its first year of running. There will be a number of types of music styles, so this festival doesn’t leave anyone out. There will be a select number of micro breweries, along with raw and specialty oysters. Over two days you can check out the Artist Village, the Shuck’N contest, the first every oyster cook-off, plus a bikini contest.
Beaches Freedom Fest – June 23rd and 24th – Christ’s Church Mandarin Campus
This event doesn’t just bill itself as a concert, it bills itself as a cause. In an effort to end human trafficking, five artists will perform and bring awareness to the cause. Tickets are $10, with children under 5 free. This is one show you can feel good attending.
World Arts Film Festival – May 3rd to 5th – WJCT Studios
Happening now! You can screen up to 100 short films, plus attend workshops, artist panels, receptions and check out some great art exhibits. Tickets vary depending on what shows you’d like to see or if you want all access.
These five festivals are just some of the great main attractions that bring people to Jacksonville.
