Condos in Jacksonville Beach

The Jacksonville Beach Condo market has been going in all sorts of directions since the year 2000 In the late 1990’s, much of the new construction in Jacksonville Beach was usually two to four story complexes with about four to sixteen units. The city of Jacksonville Beach started a major rebuilding of the infrastructure east of A1A with new parking, parks, beach access, a new pier, and demolition of outdated properties. New restaurants and night spots were built in the area. This along with the general booming real estate market in the area started a new phase of development, and many new luxurious high rise Jacksonville Beach condos were started.

These new Jacksonville Beach Condos have really sold extremely well. Many buildings were pre-sold out before construction started. Residents of Jacksonville Beach became concerned with the construction of these new high rises. In 2004, residents of Jacksonville Beach voted to limit the height of new high rise condos. Residents were concerned about maintaining the aesthetics of area, and did not want to overbuild the area. There are several projects fully permitted and ready to start construction. Most likely development will simply switch back toward smaller projects. I don’t see the redevelopment stopping in the area, the demand for beach property is so strong.
