Jacksonville is such an amazing place to live, with great restaurants, attractions and of course amazing real estate. But, is it a good place to grab a coffee? Of course it is! Here are the five best spots to go for a coffee in Jax.
So much more than just coffee, this renowned coffee shop is a place that appreciates their community and thinks of their customers as more than just a payment. Driven by ethical practices, sustainability and of course quality, their coffee, tea and the food items on their menu are amazing. With daily specials, some of their favorites are The Turtle (pumpkin seed pesto and local arugula in a cilantro oil as a sandwich or salad) or Southern Toast (butter, sugar and cinnamon on bread).
You can think of brew two ways – beer and coffee – and this place has both. Basically a craft beer and espresso bar, their drink list is definitely not basic. With a unique atmosphere and daily events, this is the place to be while drinking your brew. Check out Brew’s game night, charity events and more.
Seen as a locals only spot, the owner is friendly with everyone who walks in her door. With fresh-baked goods all day and three drip coffees to choose from, Sippers Coffeehouse is the place to go when you need a lift. The flavored coffees are a favorite, with choices like Graham Cracker, Jingle Bell Java, and of course, Pumpkin Spice (Starbucks has nothing on this place).
Seen less as a coffee shop and more as a destination, this place specializes in locally roasted and premium coffee. There are two locations and you can either just pick up your daily java fix, or sit in the cafe and enjoy their choice of bistro entrees. They do catering too, so next time the office needs something fresh for a meeting, you might want to think about Urban Grind Coffee Company.
Another family-oriented spot, The Brick Coffee House is amazing mostly because of their personal service. They don’t write your name on the coffee cups, because they already know your name. There’s a large menu to choose from here, with a number of different coffees, teas, plus breakfast, lunch and soup. They’ll even deliver it to you if you are under the weather or too busy to leave your desk.
Thinking about buying or selling a home? Why not meet me at one of these great local spots and we’ll talk about it!
