The Best Easter Egg Hunts in Jacksonville

The Easter Bunny is coming to Jacksonville next weekend and you need to be prepared! There are a number of egg hunts and Easter fun events happening in the city, so no kid will be left disappointed.

The City of Jacksonville Beach’s annual egg hunt happens on April 15th at 10am at Sunshine Park. This free hunt is open to kids up to age 8.

The Jacksonville Zoo is having a great safari Eggscursion on April 15th from 10am until 1pm. There will be LEGO eggs scattered through the park, plus bounce houses and games and crafts. Everything is free with zoo admission.

Sweet Pete’s Candy is having an Easter bash in front of their downtown candy store. Completely free, the event will be happening on Sunday, April 9th from 11am to 3pm. There will be a number of fun activities and vendors present, including free pictures with the Easter Bunny, live music and dancing, candy demos, story time, balloon pop and lots of goodies.

Check out the Rock-N-Roll Easter Train at Kirby Family Farm with guests from Nickelodeon and SpongeBob and Patrick! Happening April 7th until the 9th, this event is actually the world’s largest Easter egg hunt. Climb aboard the full size historical locomotive, where there will be games and activities, spring farm babies petting zoo and of course an egg hunt. The Easter Bunny will be there as well and there will be some great prizes.

Come on down to the Jacksonville Toys ‘R’ Us location for an Easter egg hunt with Geoffrey. There will be a parade and you can win prizes too. This event happens on Sunday April 9th from 1pm to 3pm.

Head to Drew Park from 10am until 12pm on Saturday, April 8th for the Calvary Worship Center Easter picnic and egg hunt.

For kids on the spectrum, a sensory-friendly Easter egg-stravaganza is exactly what they need! Register for a time slot with We Rock the Spectrum and you can play, take photos and hunt for eggs.

An Easter bounce sounds fun! Jumping, sliding and hunting for Easter eggs does too and your child can do so at Pump it Up Party through the week at varying times.

Head to Adventure Landing for their 22nd annual Easter egg hunt on the mini golf courses. There will be three hunts with varying age groups, plus a visit by the Easter bunny. You’ll also enjoy unlimited mini golf, laser tag and go-karts. This happens on April 15th from 8am until 2pm.

On April 15th all day, Celestial Farms is having their Spring Fling, craft sale and egg hunt. There will be no fee for the hunt, but you can also enjoy bounce houses and pony rides.

The Victory Lutheran Church is having their Preschool Easter Festival from 9am until 1pm on Saturday, April 8th.


Join the good people at the Arlington Community Academy for a free dinner, crafts, outdoor games, activities and more during their Easter celebration, happening on Sunday, April 9th from 3pm until 6pm.

The Mandarin Presbyterian is having a free community Easter party with pony rides, petting zone, bouncy castles, crafts, cookie decorating and two big egg hunts. Join them on Sunday April 9th from 2:30 pm until 5pm.

Visit the Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary this weekend on Sunday April 9th from 1pm until 4pm to watch the big cats get their Easter enrichment activities. The big cats will be treated with Easter eggs filled with meat. Pre-purchased tickets are recommended.

Join the Easter egg hunt and have a covered dish dinner at Southside UMC on Sunday April 9th starting at 4pm.
