Looking for the perfect place to propose in Jacksonville? Well, you are in luck, because we’ve got no shortage of beautiful and life-altering spots for you to ask your beloved to share the rest of your life with you.

St. Augustine

You want to create a new history with your loved one and why not do that in a historical town like St. Augustine? It is the nation’s oldest city. You can rent a horse-drawn carriage and make the day super special or take a stroll along the cobblestone walls. Have dinner at Collage Restaurant or Cellar 6 for a romantic evening after your proposal.

Restaurant Orsay

Proposing over an elegant meal is never cliché. Do it right at Jacksonville’s most romantic restaurant – Orsay. This French bistro will please the palette before you pop the question. She (or he) will definitely be in a good mood after sampling the raw bar and delighting in the double chocolate ganache for dessert.

The Cummer Museum

If you want a unique spot to get down on one knee, the Cummer Museum is it. Among the many art collections or in the pristine, beautiful and historic gardens, there isn’t a bad spot in this place to propose. Imagine asking her to marry you under the majestic Cummer Oak, one of the oldest trees in Jacksonville. You can come back and visit it on every anniversary to celebrate your special bond.

Big Talbot Island

This gorgeous nature preserve is one of the best spots near Jacksonville to propose. Set up a picnic, have a walk and then slip her the ring. Or rent a kayak and take her out to the middle of the water before asking her (keep a good hold on the ring!). If she says no, you can make her paddle back (she won’t say no!). The island is the perfect spot for photos as well, so come back to get your engagement photos done.

On a boat

There are no shortage of boats in Jacksonville and you might as well take advantage of our ocean-fronting town and get out on the water to make for a memorable experience. There are a number of boats available for charter, as well as just traditional set cruises in Jax, so take your pick and make the day special.
