Downtown condo tower to be sold instead of leased
Normally a downtown office tower sells as leased space but one company wants to sell them as individual condos instead. That’s the current gameplan for making money from the 12 storey Greenleaf Building in Jacksonville.
Only one other downtown tower in Jacksonville is like this – the Blackstone building. With the Greenleaf building, expectations are high that the whole building will be sold out within 18 months, if not much sooner. The developer hopes that big wealthy companies such as law firms may be attracted to the idea of owning one or two floors of a large condo instead of leasing them.
