Atkins withdrawal puts Peterbrooke back in the driving seat
Filed Under Jacksonville property development
After confirming that they were not interested anymore in the Haydon Burns Library, attention turned from the Atkins Group to runner-up in the initial negotiations – Peterbrooke Chocolatier. The only problem is that Peterbrooke have said they’re not interested anymore.
The Atkins Group pulled out of their $5 million bid after 4 months of talks. But Peterbrooke, whose $1.5 million offer was initially rejected, says that they no longer need the benefits the property offers due to internal company changes and streamlining to their production processes.
If Peterbrooke passes, next in line to start talks would be Main Branch LLC with their $3.25 million offer. They have said they’re still interested and theyx have begun to get the financing ready just in case.
