School board sitting on a hot property?
It benefited the Duval County School board when they moved in in 1981. 25 years later, it could benefit them again.
The School board property, located on 4 acres of land and covering 115,000 square feet, on the south bank of the St Johns River was a major boom for the area back in ‘81. Now today private developers have their eye on the property with plans for high-rise residences. The property next door to the school board collected $40 million. That has got some people thinking that the school board property could also bring in such a high sum.
The building has been bought and paid for already so since they pay no rent on it now, any deal could be extremely beneficial for them.
